Ultrasound Re-accredited by ACR

Susan Afonso, MD, Division Director of Ultrasound in the Department of Radiology has received notification that the American College of Radiology (ACR) has granted accreditation in general (including abdominal pelvic small parts Pedi and musculoskeletal) and visceral vascular ultrasound for three years to our University Campus Ultrasound Lab.
Dr. Afonso and Cindy Tefft, RDMS, the Lead Sonographer and Supervisor, did the work on the accreditation process. The entire group is to be commended for their high quality work. Accreditation assures exams of high quality technique with expert interpretations.
