What is a mentor?

A mentor is an experience trusted advisor who wants to have a positive impact on a young adult’s life. Mentors will guide and help mentee develop valuable knowledge in order to grow personally and professionally.

Why mentor?

Mentors contributes critical support and guidance. Being a mentor gives you the extraordinary opportunity to transform a student in personal and professional growth by sharing knowledge you learned throughout the years of experience.

Mentor responsibilities:

Attend mentor orientation and take training sessions
Mentors should meet with intern weekly and meet face to face monthly to hear out and advise them. Additional contact by phone or e-mail is also allowed, as needed.
Focus attention on the student’s achievement plan
Communicate weekly with mentor coordinator
Mentors should report to the Team of Interns or Senior Staff immediately if they think some specific issues should be addressed on a higher level
Attend program ceremonies
