Compensation and Benefits
The UMass Chan Medical School is committed to retaining and recruiting a diverse faculty. Faculty compensation and benefits will depend on whether an individual is employed by UMass Chan Medical School or by UMass Memorial Health Care (UMMHC).
Compensation
The OFA, in conjunction with the Department of Human Resources, is responsible for the review and monitoring of faculty salaries to ensure equity and competitiveness. Faculty salaries are compared against internal and external benchmarks, including the Association of American Medical Colleges (AAMC) and Medical Group Management Association (MGMA). Faulty members with questions regarding their compensation are encouraged to speak with their division chief or department chair.
