Overview
The Neurocritical Care Research Group (Muehlschlegel lab) at the UMass Chan Medical School (UMASS) focuses on:
1) Development, testing and implementation of shared decision-making interventions to facilitate difficult decisions for surrogate decision makers of incapacitated neurocritically ill patients.
2) Outcomes research of patients with catastrophic neurological emergencies with the goal of developing and validating new and improved outcome models.
3) FInding new clinical treatment of patients with catastrophic neurological events and emergencies by participation in multi-center clinical trials.
