Active students, residents and graduates

Our NCC research laboratory has a long-standing tradition of mentoring medical students, residents and fellows. All of our graduates have joined prestigious programs following their research with us. All of our mentees have presented posters or oral abstracts at national or international conferences and have converted these abstracts to manuscripts.

• Connie Ge, BS: UMass Chan Class of 2022 
  • Awarded American Academy of Neurology Summer Student Research scholarship and American Academy of Neurology Annuel Meeting Travel Grant 2020 (cancelled due to COVID-19 pandemic)
    • Loves painting and contemporary visual arts
    • Recently adopted a beautiful 8 year old cat named Skye
    • Enjoys hiking, especially during the colder months - she has developed a healthy fear of sunburn after living in Texas!

• Marcey Osgood, DO: Graduated from UMASS Neurology residency and joined the Cleveland Clinic Neurocritical Care Fellowship. She is currently Neurocritical care Faculty at UMass Chan Medical School, Worcester, MA and a faculty member of our research team

• Sanam Baghshomali, MD: Graduated from UMASS Neurology residency and joined the University of Pennsylvania Neurocritical Care Fellowship and the Case Western Stroke Fellowship.

• Lucia Rivera Lara, MD: Graduated from UMASS Neurology residency and joined the Johns Hopkins University Neurocritical Care Fellowship. She is currently Neurocritical care Faculty at the Johns Hopkins, Baltimore, MD

• Nathanael Slater, DO: Graduated from UMASS Anesthesiology residency and joined the UMASS SICU fellowship. He was anesthesiology faculty at UMASS and is now in private practice in New Hampshire.
