Sarah McGee, MD - Kelley House Mentor

Dr. McGee is originally from New York. She attended Villanova University and New York Medical College. She completed Internal Medicine residency at Baystate Medical Center, and three years of fellowship training in Geriatric Medicine as well as a Master’s in Public Health at St. Louis University and Washington University. After fellowship, she relocated to Massachusetts and has worked at Memorial Hospital and later at UMass Memorial Health Care (UMMHC) and UMass Chan as a geriatrician and clinician educator.

Dr. McGee is a geriatrician providing primary care for older adults. She sees patients in the outpatient setting and in their home. She is a Clinical Professor of Medicine at UMass Chan and serves as the Clinical Director for the Division of Geriatric Medicine and Medical Director for a local hospice. Dr. McGee is involved with many educational and clinical initiatives at UMass Chan, UMMHC, and the Worcester community that relate to improving the health care of older adults and enhancing the knowledge for all learners related to Geriatric Medicine independent of their specialty or career choice. Dr. McGee has served as a Learning Community Mentor since the inception of this program and has enjoyed advising and mentoring students longitudinally. More recently, she serves as the Medical Director of Population Health, Care Management leading care management efforts across the UMass Memorial organization and continuum of care focusing on the most vulnerable and complex older adults at highest risk for high health care utilization.

Dr. McGee lives in Sturbridge with her husband, Bill. They have 4 daughters. Sarah likes to travel with family and friends particularly to places they can bike, hike, or ski together.
